DeVito speaks about how her interest in Bard was sparked by a landscape painting she saw of the Hudson Valley by Asher B. Durand; Bard exposed to her new subjects that were not mainstream; she picked Art History because of the various field trips and the supportive environment; how her Bard education helps her to better understand her current job as a nurse; Bard students and graduates are open-minded; support she received from her advisor, Tom Wolf.
