The mission of the Bard College Archives & Special Collections is to collect, preserve, and provide access to materials in a wide range of formats that illuminate the intellectual and social history of Bard College and its surrounding communities. Through both onsite research access and expanding digital initiatives, the Archives & Special Collections supports the scholarship and creative work of undergraduates, faculty, the broader Bard community, public historians, independent researchers, and scholars around the world.
As part of this commitment, we are pleased to make selected digitized archival collections available through our Institutional Repository. These online collections extend access to unique primary sources documenting the history of the College and the Hudson Valley, preserved for long-term stewardship. By publishing these materials digitally, we aim to broaden engagement, foster new research, and ensure enduring access for diverse audiences everywhere.
