Abstract
This thesis is a study of Impressionistic painting style fused with my own manga painting style. In both styles, applications of varies brush strokes and thick layers of oil paint are applied. To combine oil paint, manga and Impressionism is a new chapter for me. The writing will be focusing on applying Monet’s Impressionistic technique to my own work. This experimental process is to create new art form where art diverges from the old Impressionistic method and theme. This fusing of a new element with traditional Impressionistic painting enriches tradition itself. Therefore, my later pieces are partially Impressionist, and they are fused with manga painting style.
