Abstract/Artist's Statement
I am a collection of horses and snakes, dog desires, pride. I am learning to make dances out of line, space, awe, style, accident, confrontation, time.
To work in dance is, I think, to live in the physical/material world, in three dimensions, among objects. As dancers, our medium is defined by the architecture of three-dimensional space and by our bodies, made of the same fundamental material as that space and also our means for knowing it.
I am in the trenches with my body! I am in the trenches of my body! It is an enormous delight, this flesh and blood parade, this moveable feast.
