Abstract
Computed Tomography (CT) is indispensable to the practice of modern medicine as it allows non-invasive examination of the human body. After medical images are obtained from CT scans, machines are usually applied to aid diagnostics and treatments. In this thesis, we describe the algorithms used to reconstruct raw CT data to CT images. The first two chapters provide an introduction and the reconstruction scheme. In the third chapter, some classification techniques and models are discussed for image classification. We demonstrate the process and results using a dataset of lung X-ray images.
