Abstract
The production of 1968 as an exemplary global moment raises a number of questions pertaining to history, politics, and aesthetics. This project explores the internationalisms of 1968 in Europe. Attending to events in Czechoslovakia, France, and Italy, and working through the dissonance between 1968 and contemporary, it attempts to revive alternative configurations of internationalism in 1968 by way of a study of visual culture.
