Abstract/Artist's Statement

This senior project explores the potential for designing a music education curriculum to be implemented in three refugee schools in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Using the proven benefits of creative art, I have designed music education resources for educators working with refugee students to use in their classrooms. I have also given a detailed account of my ongoing TLS project, Creative Play, as it prepares to facilitate in-person workshops modeling the curriculum in the three partner schools.
