Abstract/Artist's Statement
This paper proposed an alternative policy of racial reparation to subsidize the African-Americans' housing mortgage. We argue that the tobacco industry was responsible for the exploitation of slavery and generated today's racial wealth gap. This project suggested an additional taxation should be levied on every pack of cigarettes sold to cigarette agencies or wholesalers, and benefit 5 million of African-Americans.
