Abstract/Artist's Statement
Cyclometalated Pt(II) and Pt(IV) complexes with various multidentate thiophene, benzene and pyridine-containing ligands were synthesized and characterized. The newly made Pt(II) and Pt(IV) complexes were synthesized in order to study the photophysical properties (absorbance, emission, lifetime and quantum yield values) as a function of ligand architecture and to examine their luminescent properties in solutions.
