Abstract/Artist's Statement
This project is a translation of excerpts from Exodes, an anticipatory science fiction novel by Jean-Marc Ligny. It recounts moments in the lives of five humans : Pradeesh, Karin, Pandora, Séverine, and Mélanie. These characters navigate a post-apocalyptic world scarred by the brutality of their species’ shared history. Ligny describes a future deeply impacted by various contemporary issues, though this project focuses mainly on immigration and climate change.
