Abstract/Artist's Statement
This project is an examination of three Italian wall paintings. They engage in a diachronic dialogue and are part of a long-standing Italian tradition of the reinvention of the classical Roman past. Through the study of the three wall paintings, this thesis looks at the way Art History, as a discipline, by the Renaissance.
