Abstract/Artist's Statement
Al Qaeda is different in 2014 than in 2001 - in large part due to the war in Afghanistan. My thesis observes and analyzes US policy in Yemen through the lens of lessons learned and applied in Afghanistan and what that means to our efforts abroad in maintaining security.
