Abstract/Artist's Statement
This essay attempts to discover the meaning behind the little patch of yellow wall in Marcel Proust's A La Recherche du Temps Perdu. It follows the path of Nancy's painter in the grotto to attempt to uncover the æsthetic basis of Proust and the narrator.
