Abstract/Artist's Statement
What was Kathy Acker doing and why? An attempt to analyze Acker's experimental writing chronologically, through the lens of her personal development as a writer. In doing so, I engage with some of the theorists and writers who are most visible in Acker's writing, while focusing on Acker's personal desire for pleasure and wonder via language.
