Abstract/Artist's Statement
I am committed to: big and unanswerable questions, the process and the product, the body, the floor, the attempt, gravity and personality.
All kinds of movement are fascinating and worth exploding.
I am guilty of: failing, falling, thinking, speaking, hurting and repeating. I am a person before I am a dancer. I want to be seen as a person and I want to see you as one too.
Honesty is a carrot I am always reaching for.
I don’t make high art, but I don’t make things easy. I do hope to give you something to think about. I believe that the body and mind can think together in a way that neither can achieve separately.
My life/practice/work as a dancer is not all about performing, but when I perform for someone, that is to say, you, I am asking for some engagement. But please, only join in if you feel like it...
I am above all interested in questions and explorations and curiosity.
