A single folder that contains: the outline of the course GE 104, Fall 1999, Historical Foundations of Political Economy I, taught by Shaikh and Milberg with "occasional lectures" by Robert Heilbroner. There is also some material for GECO II, Spring 2004; copies of NYT articles from 5/12/2005,8/8/05, 10/3/2005, and 10/4/2005, the first titled, "Forced labor said to bind 12.3 million people around the world," by Steven Greenhouse, one by Paul Krugman titled "That hissing sound,' one by Andrew Revkin on Bhutan's happiness measurement, and another showing happiness levels in the US and other nations; a press release from the ILO 1/24/01, on World Employment rates, handwritten notes titled "Reserve Army:notes" from 9/2/82; a BBC report on "How World Job Rates Compare" from 3/14/2001; an outline of a lecture Professor Shaikh wrote 2/3/1999 on Unemployment, and finally a second copy of the opening material on GE 104, with the addition of suggested essay topics.
