Abstract/Artist's Statement

I believe satire is one of the most potent forms of social criticism. With that in mind, I wrote and filmed a story about an unscrupulous small business in an effort to critique the pre-2008 culture of profit. My screenplay was heavily influenced by James Foley’s film adaption of the David Mamet play, Glengarry Glen Ross. I opted for a bold filmmaking style, using lots of closeups, a prominent soundtrack, and at times rapid cutting, which are all meant to reflect the brash mentality of the two protagonists.
