My senior thesis is an exploration of the relationship between text and image through the use of two written novels and a series of photographs. For this project, I have written two novels, from a series which will eventually include a third book. I took pictures with live models for each chapter of the two books in the attempt to represent what happens in each chapter. These pictures are designed to be direct scenes from their chapters while a few are more abstract and are meant to represent a feeling. The purpose of this thesis is to explore how putting an image alongside a text affects the story. It works with the notion of different ways to tell a story, one through words, and the other through images.
