Abstract/Artist's Statement

The Senior Project below examines potential avenues for military de-escalation in the Taiwan Strait, including comprehensive political agreements, military truces or ceasefires, and de facto agreements on relaxing Chinese military escalation. The project finds that de-escalation will remain unreachable until Chinese victory over Taiwan or continued deterrence prompts China to reassess its strategy fundamentally.
