Abstract

This short-form piece provides a glimpse into the trials and challenges of assuming a new role as Associate Dean in the time of COVID-19 and in the face of natural disasters. Focusing on the challenges of providing an early college curriculum, this article explores how instruction and academic schematics were innovated to address pressing issues brought upon by Hurricane Ida, variant surges, and the developmental impact of prolonged exposure to the pandemic.
