Abstract/Artist's Statement
This short film is a reflection on the college experience. Tristan, a mute boy since birth, finds himself encountering a young violinist named Daphne. Throughout the film, Tristan has a coming of age moment as he befriends Daphne. At the climax, Tristan is able to break out of his shell, finally speak, and fight for his future. His transition from being mute to being able to speak is one that is very reminiscent of the transition from nervous high school senior to a confident college graduate.
