Abstract/Artist's Statement

How’s It Going So Far is an experimental documentary that chronicles the wax and wane of the Frost-Harper-Turner family’s recorded history using photos, maps, deeds, acetate records,16mm, VHS and HD video footage. It takes place during seven decades of summers in Lake Tahoe, California and briefly drifts into Los Angeles for Easter Sunday, 1959. While it does not maintain a chronological structure, How’s It Going So Far? intends to trace the evolution of home movies in America since the late 1940’s.
