Abstract/Artist's Statement

An unnamed narrator begins an analytical essay about Elfriede Jelinek's play The Wall, but gradually becomes disillusioned with Jelinek's fatalistic credo and her "manipulation" of other authors. The critical piece deteriorates and is simultaneously accompanied by narrative footnotes concerning the autobiography of the narrator and her creative development ( or devolvement).
